Links - International Grants

While the focus of SchoolGrants is on PK-12 opportunities for public schools and districts within the United States, these links are offered for those who seek international opportunities.  

As I come across sites that offer information about international grants, links will be added to this section.  If you know of any links that would be valuable to your international colleagues, please share them

American Express

Based on the list of 1998 grantees, American Express makes grants for a large variety of projects if they fall within their initiatives of community service, cultural heritage, or economic independence.  International grantees must prove not-for-profit status.


Helen Bader Foundation

Funds projects for children and youth in Israel - interest lies in early childhood development.


Bechtel Foundation

This foundation is doing work in India, the Phillippines, Trinidad, Chornobyl, and Kazakhstan.


Clorox

Clorox has plants in Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico.


The Eurasia Foundation

A privately managed grantmaking organization dedicated to funding programs that build democratic and free market institutions in the twelve New Independent States (NIS) of the former Soviet Union -- Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

Rohm and Haas Supports IRS-approved, nonprofit organizations in communities where employees live and work.

Rotary International

The Rotary Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation that supports the efforts of Rotary International to achieve world understanding and peace through international humanitarian, educational, and cultural exchange programs.


The Society of Research Administrators (SRA)

SRA's GrantsWeb offers a number of international resources for Canada, Australia, Israel, Europe and Great Britain.


Newman's Own Non-Profit Grants The proposal deadline is September 1.  There is nothing on the site that indicates international funding at this time but his distribution has been expanded internationally so funding may become available.

Starbucks

Starbucks is a major corporate contributor to CARE.  They have donated and helped raise over $1.2 million for people in Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. Visit Starbucks Web site to see the programs they've funded.
