Links - Grant Publications

The list below represents online publications I've come across that relate to grant seeking. There is also limited information about print publications that you may be interested in purchasing included here.

The link to the Federal Register is particularly beneficial to those seeking grant opportunities offered by the federal government.

If you know of grant publications, especially those that are available at no cost, that can be added to the ones listed below, please let me know! Likewise, if you happen to find links that are no longer valid, I would appreciate you letting me know that as well. Please include the Web page where the invalid link appears. Thanks!

Please remember that all links open in a separate window.

Online Publications Available at No Cost

SchoolGrants Bimonthly Newsletter The SchoolGrants Bimonthly Newsletter is published every other month and contains 3-4 grant opportunities that are of interest to PK-12 schools.

If you need more up-to-date and detailed grant-related information, consider subscribing to the electronic SchoolGrants Biweekly Newsletter that is published twice each month.

Federal Register Most grant opportunities available through the federal government are posted in the Federal Register. You can quickly peruse the daily Table of Contents to determine if there are any opportunities of interest. (You can have the TOC sent to you by email every day.)

Texas Register The Texas Register contains emergency, proposed, and adopted rules; notices of withdrawn and repealed rules; notices of rule review and other information - including publication of Requests for Proposal - submitted by state agencies for publication.

Many states have a Register. The ones I know about are listed on the State Grant Opportunities page of the SchoolGrants site.

Texas State Grant Alert The Grant Alert is a compilation of information about current funding solicitations offered by federal, state and private grant funding resources. The Grant Alert is posted in Rich Text Format twice weekly. While the Grant Alert is published for Texas residents, it is valuable to grant seekers in all states.

(If your state provides a similar service, please let me know about it so I can post its information here!)

Free Government E-newsletters The federal government offers a variety of free e-newsletters to which you may subscribe. You may want to peruse through the list and find those that are of interest to you.

EdInfo Archives EdInfo is published on an as-needed basis and provides information about elementary and secondary education grant opportunities and more.

No Child Left Behind Newsletter Keep up-to-date on information, events and announcements about No Child Left Behind, and receive The Achiever in your email box by subscribing to this newsletter.

Grantseeker Tips Miner and Associates publishes this highly recommended biweekly newsletter. You'll receive grant writing tips and information when you subscribe.

Internet Insider "THE INTERNET INSIDER - for Nonprofits, Grantseekers & Fundraisers" is a free E-Newsletter of great websites, online discussion groups and publications, jokes, and more.  Published by Educational Funding Strategies.

Philanthropy Journal This publication of the A.J. Fletcher Foundation in Raleigh, N.C. is an online newspaper that reports on philanthropy and nonprofits.

The Foundation Center The Foundation Center offers a variety of free email publications that may be of interest to you. I especially recommend the RFP Bulletin.

Fee-based Publications

The Chronicle of Philanthropy The Chronicle of Philanthropy is the newspaper of the nonprofit world. It is the No. 1 news source, in print and online, for charity leaders, fund raisers, grant makers, and other people involved in the philanthropic enterprise.

Aid for Education Report Aid for Education provides valuable funding information for education professionals, whether they work at the preschool, elementary school, community college, or university level.   Each issue contains updates on the No Child Left Behind Act and the Individuals with Disability Education Act, as well as public and private grant opportunities for a wide variety of programs.

Unfortunately, pornographic site operators are purchasing popular domain names (i.e., U.S. West) and putting their content there for unsuspecting visitors.  If you should come across a link on the SchoolGrants site that no longer goes to the intended site, please let me know as soon as possible.  If you will include the page where the URL is located, it will greatly assist me in deleting it immediately.  Thank you for your help.
Your comments, suggestions and questions are always welcome! Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback!
